There’s an aspect of divorce that is one of the most daunting: GOING BACK TO WORK. Whether you need to go back to work for financial reasons, or you want to go back to work but feel deficient in technology, I understand how you are feeling! After being a stay-at-home mom for almost 15 years, I took a full time sales job, and believe me, I was scared. I was fearful of technology, which included computer programs and social media, and I hadn’t worked in the corporate world in a decade and a half! Well, guess what? I figured it out and going back to work turned out to be the best decision I had made in a long, long time. Not just financially (although I was finally enjoying financial freedom and so much less financial stress) working had a huge impact on my self-esteem, the way I parented, and my social life.
When I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do professionally, what job worked for me, how I was going to manage being a single mom and working, learning computer programs, putting my resume together, interviewing and more, I wish I’d have known about ALR Connections!
