Joanne Litman
Meet

Joanne Litman, MBA, CLTC, RICP

Financial Advisor for Eagle Strategies, LLC.

I have known Joanne Litman since around 2014. Joanne (I call her Jo) and I met at a networking meeting, and we immediately clicked, both personally and professionally. Joanne is one of those people who feels like a really good friend, right from the start. I think this is one of the things that has made her successful in her career as a financial advisor. Jo emits positivity, advocacy and trust; all very important things someone going through a divorce needs.

Since we met, I have known many people who have worked with Jo and who have been extremely pleased with her services. The best way to say it is, Jo just gets it. She’s easy to talk to, she listens, and she exudes warmth and love. Jo is divorced, she’s a mom, she’s a wonderful friend, she’s philanthropic, and she’s a giver.

Jo has been very active on the Divorced Girl Smiling Facebook Group page, offering advice to women who truly need support, and she doesn’t have an agenda in the time she spends responding to questions. I truly love that Joanne is a DGS trusted professional, and would highly recommend her!

About Joanne

Joanne Litman, MBA, CLTC, RICP is a financial advisor with a focus on working with people who are divorced or divorcing. She not only draws from her own divorce, but also her experience working with many clients at all stages of divorce and beyond. Joanne does not have any minimum asset requirement, does not charge a fee to meet with her and discuss your situation, and believes everyone should have their own advisor, not just a shared advisor or neutral party, but one who will act in your best interest. When you work with Joanne, you will have someone who can relate, who can bring clarity to a stressful and confusing time, and who can help you understand the impact of certain decisions, both short-term and long-term.

Joanne’s mission is to make financial services and advice accessible to all in ways that make people feel comfortable and supported. She believes to receive advice from an advisor and fiduciary, it should not matter if you have or haven’t been involved in your family’s finances, if you have or haven’t consulted with an advisor in the past, if you think you should or should not have taken some action with regards to your financial circumstances, or what the balances are in your accounts. Instead, Joanne works to make discussions conversational and comfortable, to lessen the fear and anxiety that people often feel about finances, to serve her clients with the highest standards and ethics, and to provide information and education without judgment.

Joanne is a single mom of three children and was divorced 15 years ago when they were 6, 9 and 11. Her two oldest children are working (one in Chicago in business and one is California as a photographer and film developer) and the youngest is in college. Joanne holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University as well a Master of Business Administration. Joanne is committed to education and development, as seen by her industry designations of CLTC (Certification in Long Term Care) and RICP (Retirement Income Certified Planner) as well as professional licenses which include Series 6, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 7.
